Generally you won't see chlorine(which is a nutrient) toxicities unless the water has upwards off 100 ppms per gallon it actually takes quite a bit to affect the plants. I don't have any issues watering my girls with straight tap water, no sitting over night or airation. Of course everyone's tap water is different, it's the chloramine that is the problem.

I use tap. It's about 230 ppm. Most municipalities will post their water testing online if you do some digging. You can actually see what's in there and the percentage. I use a hose filter that claims it removes 99% of chloramine but who knows? It does lower the PPM by about 15 so that's good enough for me. Leave it in a 5 gallon bucket or whatever and use a bubbler and let it bubble for at least 24 hours and you're good

My tap water is garbage. No matter how long I let it sit, something in it kills my plants. Creates a major PH imbalance. I’m sure my city has put something in the water that cannabis doesn’t like. I have friends that grow also in the same small city and they all have the same issues. This wouldn’t surprise me with this city because they even outlaw strip clubs! Nothing but old rich people running the show. I and others have to use RO water or else we end up with nothing but issues.

Did a test my last watering with straight tap on some ladies in veg. I typically dechlorinate with an air pump, but decided lets see what happens. They look just a good as they do without dechlorinating the water. This saves me 12-24 hours of off gasing, however part of me does like the ritual aspect of prepping my water a day in advance.

U do realize cancer took off in the 80’s guess what else happened at that time yep people going on city from their old well water. K when city test water Scotty their able to test when they want so they make sure it’s tested when they haven’t added chlorine to close to us. This is why they say never drink it unless u filter when someone calls about dirty water or bad taste they will add chlorine at a connection point to close to fix that so filter it. Inside of water lines when we have to cut them fixing the road oh my god guys in a 6” water line bottom inch to inch and half is coated in thick black green brown junk. Yea when city test it’s tested at a very good time to do it.
